Executive Summary
I have spent my life dedicated to the creative process. As an artist and writer I love to stimulate thought through both the visual and the written word. Prior to MICA, I worked to teach art and to use art to help out the community by providing a pathway for under-privileged youths. My art can range from traditional to the abstract but the common theme is to tell a story or to stimulate the viewer to think or laugh. I am a tireless worker who can work as part of a team or independently. While in college I took on 2 programs, Illustration and Creative Writing and continued to work as a freelance artist and to start an art therapy program at Johns Hopkins University Hospital for patients with Huntington’s disease, a serious inherited neurologic disorder. I believe it is important for one to be committed to their work but not to forget to give back and make a difference.
