Jacob Zelenkofske is an artist who features animation, painting and writing who is based on the East Coast of the US. Jacob earned his BFA from MICA in 2019 and his MFA from PAFA in 2021
Growing up in Allentown, he discovered art at a young age and has expressed himself across various media throughout his career. The main goal of his work is to explore visual storytelling through the combination of different media while using both representational and abstract work. Space, color and true intention are always focused components of his artwork. Jacob writes both fiction and non-fiction as he feels they are two sides of the same essential coin.
From The Amazing Spiderman issue 252 to Italo Calvino’s Invisible Cities, he loves all forms of story telling. He enjoys literature that rely on the visual medium and ones that rely on text alone. To him, both writing and visuals work together in a beautiful way when the components perfectly complement each other.
He is well versed in both traditional media and software as well. His love of storytelling has led him to explore the realm of animation and combine various forms of media. From Oil Painting to the Adobe Creative Suite, he finds it important to learn as much as possible so that he can not only gain different skills, but also diversify the language which he uses to communicate through his medium.
